Amanda Goodman, CMHC -I

Hi! My name is Amanda, and I’m currently completing my internship as part of my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and certifications in SYMBIS marriage counseling and Psychological First Aid.

Before entering the counseling field, I spent six years as an elementary school librarian and art teacher. I’ve seen firsthand the healing power of creativity, nature, and connection, and I love incorporating those elements into the counseling process.

I use approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Narrative Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy to support clients. I especially enjoy working with children and teens to help them build emotional resilience and recognize their potential.

I’ve lived in this community for 17 years and truly love it here. As a mother of four, I understand the challenges families face in raising emotionally secure kids today. My family and I enjoy hiking, traveling, and finding any excuse to visit Disneyland.
