3 Reasons You Don’t Keep Your Day Job: A Brief Review
By Jameson Holman, LMFT
So I work a lot which means I commute a lot. Unlike most people I know I enjoy having that me time on the road to just decompress and think about things. More often than not during that mobile nirvana I am listening to podcasts….LOADS of podcasts. One of my favourites that I have just recently found and fallen in love with is called Don’t Keep Your Day Job with Cathy Heller. Let me give you three reasons why you should be listening:
1) If you’ve ever had a passion for anything and have been letting the “what ifs” of pursuing said passion eat you alive for various reasons thent his pod is for you.
2) If you are currently loathing your job and wishing you could be doing what you love then this pod is for you.
3) If you find yourself developing headaches when you pull into the parking lot of your job or getting a stomach ache every time you see that familiar muted grey cubicle you are confined to for eight painful hours a day then a) this pod is for you and b) you have what we in the mental health world refer to as psychosomatic symptoms which you should see someone right away for.
The pod does a great job of providing you with resources that you need from the experts that are doing it. Whether it’s opening your own yoga studio or bakery or pursuing acting, Cathy is a master motivator in how she lifts you up with seemingly endless daily affirmations of just how awesome you are RIGHT NOW as a human being. Just how IN NEED the world is of your passion, of your gift, of your talents. Just how much YOU are incredibly unique in your perspective and what you can bring into this world that is desperate for something authentic, genuine, something that only YOU possess. If this sounds like the pick me up you’ve been craving then do not heisitate to give this pod a listen.
Cheers!
