    Susie Lee, LMFT – Supervisor

I am dedicated to helping others make changes to overcome challenges in their lives and improve their overall health. I know that as individuals are given the opportunity to discover who they are and what they believe as a separate, individual self, and are able to be true to that self while still maintaining a sense of togetherness with others, they can make powerful changes. They can change their thoughts, behaviors, and relationships. This balance of maintaining both a sense of togetherness and autonomy, results in a more healthy, balanced person. People like this are better equipped to handle anything life throws at them.

    Specialties:

Children – Youth – Families – Self Esteem – Play Therapy – EMDR

    Approaches to Therapy:

Susie uses EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). She also uses CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) to help have healthy thinking and beliefs about ones self. She also uses experiential methods such as art to help clients heal. She is trained in marriage and family therapy and therefore uses systems theory as a way of seeing the symptoms as part of a relationship struggle. She loves to use Bowen Family Systems theory to work with families.

    Education and Training:

Susie received her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Argosy University in 2017. She receives weekly training from a certified play therapist. She has also been trained in EFT(Emotional Focused Couples Therapy).
