Michelle Vongphakdy, CMHC-I
My name is Michelle Vongphakdy. I am currently pursuing a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling at University of the Cumberlands. I completed my undergraduate studies in psychology at Thomas Edison State University. More than twenty-six years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families has shaped my commitment to helping people strengthen their important relationships. I draw from cognitive-behavioral strategies and a person-centered, nonjudgmental approach to help clients navigate life transitions, process grief, deepen self-understanding, and find their zest for life. I believe that healing is best supported in an environment where clients feel genuinely seen, supported, and empowered.
As a longtime resident of Eagle Mountain, this community has a special place in my heart. After living here for 21 years and raising all five of my children here, I’m grateful for the chance to give back in a meaningful way. When I'm not working, I enjoy traveling, taking long walks with friends, spending time with family, and unwinding with a good true crime podcast.
