Bree Allison, MSW - I
I'm Breeann Allison, and I'm in my final year of my Master of Social Work program at the University of Utah. For more than six years, I've worked with adult survivors of child sexual abuse, and I have experience supporting clients navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, self-esteem concerns, self-harm, suicidal ideation, and life transitions. I also enjoy working with individuals exploring identity-related experiences, including religious trauma, faith deconstruction, LGBTQ+ identities, and gender-related care. My therapeutic approach is compassion-focused, trauma-informed, and client-centered, grounded in the belief that healing happens in relationships where people feel safe, understood, and empowered. I integrate Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients better understand the impact of their experiences, develop practical coping and emotion regulation skills, and move toward a life guided by their values rather than by fear, shame, or the wounds of the past. My goal is to meet you where you are and support you in building resilience, self-compassion, and meaningful change.
Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy spoiling my niblings, eagerly awaiting the arrival of fall, and fiercely defending the Oxford comma.
