Ailene Wood, LMFT – Supervisor

Therapist

Hello! My name is Ailene and I’m a licensed Marriage and family therapist. I began my schooling at Utah Valley University and finished with my master’s degree at Northcentral University. In addition to graduate coursework, I have also completed training in EMDR (eye movement desensitization reprocessing), AutPlay, Gottman and have become an autism spectrum disorder clinical specialist. The additional training has narrowed my focus to working more with children (6+), parents, and those that are neurodivergent. I encourage others to look for their strengths and find solutions to manage whatever comes their way. I became a Marriage and family therapist to encourage collaboration in solving problems and supporting individuals in ways that they feel most comfortable. I enjoy using a cognitive, behavioral, and problem-focused approach to personal and family functioning. In our sessions, you can expect homework and handouts as we learn how to adapt to healthier ways of interacting and being.
