Meet Michael Hickman, our newest Nurse Practitioner at Eagle Mountain Counseling. With 16 years of experience in nursing—12 of those focused on mental health—Michael brings a wealth of expertise and a passion for helping others to our team.

Michael’s journey into healthcare was inspired early in life by watching his father work as a Marriage and Family Therapist, helping individuals and families overcome challenges. This deeply rooted example of compassion and care led Michael to pursue a career as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.

He earned his Master’s in Nursing at the University of South Alabama and has since built a reputation as a dedicated and compassionate prescriber. Michael is committed to truly listening to his patients, understanding their unique needs, and working collaboratively to create personalized care plans.

Believing in the power of holistic and alternative approaches, Michael integrates these methods into his practice, focusing on whole-body wellness to enhance his patients’ quality of life. At Eagle Mountain Counseling, he’s excited to continue making a positive impact on the lives of those he serves.
