    Kenna Orgill, Student Therapist

In working with clients, I have three goals in mind:

First – to help individuals recognize their inherent value and worth.
Second – to equip individuals with the necessary tools to become self-reliant.
Third – to assist individuals in creating a life that is functional and whole.

Kenna is experienced in working with adolescents. She also sees works with adults. Kenna has a calm way of connecting with her clients. She uses cognitive behavioral approaches to help others have healthier ways of viewing life. Kenna is kind, but firm. As a person, Kenna is an animal lover. She has 2 dogs and loves to travel as well.

    Specialties:

    Depression – Trauma – Self Esteem – Anxiety – Youth – Adults

    Approaches to Therapy:

Kenna uses CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) which focuses on changing unhealthy thinking patterns to work with individuals. She is also trained in a trauma approach called TF- CBT (Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy) which is a comprehensive approach which helps someone process their trauma through a story narrative.

    Education and Training:

Kenna received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the Utah Valley University. She is now in her Master’s Program for Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of the Cumberlands.
