My name is Jaimee, and I am an MSW intern. I hold a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Communication Studies from Utah State University, with a focus on interpersonal relationships and mental health. After teaching and researching mental health, I realized my passion lies in working directly with individuals. This led me to pursue a second master’s degree in Social Work at Utah Valley University, where I will graduate in Spring 2025. I have also completed advanced training in Maternal Mental Health through Postpartum Support International. I am dedicated to cultivating a collaborative and empowering therapeutic relationship, emphasizing open and authentic communication. I believe healing is a deeply personal journey and advocate for client-centered therapy. Through vulnerability and discomfort, I can support you in finding wholeness and letting go of beliefs that no longer serve you. I aim to create a nurturing environment where growth and healing flourish, guiding clients to live authentically and align with their core values. I foster a therapeutic space that is both supportive and challenging, marked by compassion and empathy. I use a trauma-informed approach and integrate various therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I work with teens (12+) and adults, with a particular passion for women’s issues, faith transitions, relational issues, and OCD. I believe in the importance of authenticity in the therapeutic space, and you can expect me to show up as my genuine self, often incorporating humor where appropriate. Outside of my professional life, I enjoy roller skating, cooking, reading, music, and camping.
