    Danielle Manis, CMHC – I

Danielle approaches helping people in a down-to-earth style. She values a person-centered approach to counseling, allowing her clients to participate actively in therapy. Viewing each person as unique and encouraging her clients to become the narrators of their own life stories is something Danielle feels passionately about. She believes that by working collaboratively with her clients, she can help them on the path of self-discovery to find their strengths and abilities.

Creating a safe and trusting environment is crucial in building a therapeutic relationship. Danielle encourages this environment by approaching all of her clients with respect, compassion, and empathy and seeing them for the individuals they are.

When Danielle is not working, she is with her family, her horses, and other animals or reading a good book. She enjoys being outdoors, especially in the mountains.

    Specialties:

    Teens – Children – Adults – Depression – Anxiety

    Approaches to Therapy:

Danielle uses the methods of CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and Solution-Focused Therapy to help people adjust how they are viewing things in order to have a more healthy way of thinking about their problems and about life.

    Education and Training:

Danielle earned her Bachelors Degree from Southern Utah University in 2008. She is now in her final year of her Master’s degree studying Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of the Cumberlands. She graduates in August of 2023.
